A visit to Pasupatinath Temple

Hey guys! Guess what? I had went on a special trip to Pasupatinath Temple in Kathmandu, Nepal – a place full of spirituality and history. It was on a weekend when I had my free time to travel and visit. When, I walked towards the temple, I felt a unique energy in the air. The sounds of bells and the impressive temple design made me feel like I was entering a truly special place.

Once in the temple, I could sense a deep spiritual atmosphere. People were praying, priests were chanting, and the smell of incense added to the peaceful vibe. The Pasupatinath Temple isn't just a building, it's like a living symbol of Nepal's spiritual heart.

During my visit, I met Sadhus – these are holy men who live in and around the temple. They looked different with ash on their bodies and colorful clothes. Talking to them gave me a glimpse into their spiritual journeys, making my visit even more interesting.

I made sure to be there in the evening to see the 'Aarti a beautiful worship ceremony along the Bagmati River. It was conducted by the priest and started around 7 I guess. The huge crowd around the Aarti with the flickering lights, soothing hymns, and the devotion of the worshippers created a magical scene. It was one of the pleasant time where I had no thought being created and only wandered around the rythm of the Aarti.

At the heart of the temple is the Shiva Lingam, a special symbol representing Lord Shiva. The inner sanctum, filled with amazing carvings and sculptures, felt like a place charged with divine energy. Seeing people pray there made me appreciate the spiritual connection they felt.

Apart from being a spiritual place, Pasupatinath Temple is also rich in history and culture. The ancient architecture and carvings tell stories from long ago, connecting us to the traditions of the past. Leaving the temple, I couldn't help but think about the incredible experience. Pasupatinath Temple is more than just a tourist spot; it's like a peaceful escape where you can feel something special.

So, if you're ever in Kathmandu, don't miss out on Pasupatinath – it's like a journey for your heart and spirit.

A visit to the Swoyambhunath Temple

Hey guys! Recently, I had the opportunity to visit the Swoyambhunath Temple, also known as the Monkey Temple, located in the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. I woke up early in the morning around 5 a.m. to visit the temple. It was a bit dark this morning but the morning breeze of fresh air was all I needed. I reached to the foot of the hill where the temple was situated at around 5 45 a.m. . As I climbed the steep stairs that led to the temple, I was surrounded by the sounds of the resident monkeys, who were busy playing and grooming each other. The early morning light was just beginning to filter through the trees, casting a soft glow on the temple and its surroundings. Those long stairs were tiring and felt like never ending. It felt like every step I take was a climb to the Mt. Everest. Haha ! Just kiddeing. It was hard though. Though in every step I only thought of who would even make such insane steps. Finally, when I reached the top of the hill, I was greeted by the stunning sight of t

A visit to Basantapur Durbar

Hello, friends! I recently had an amazing time exploring Basantapur Durbar Square in Kathmandu, Nepal. This historic square is like a time capsule, filled with stories of royalty, stunning architecture, and vibrant traditions.  Basantapur Durbar Square, or Kathmandu Durbar Square, tells tales of royal events and ceremonies. As I wandered through, the palaces and temples amazed me with their detailed carvings and ancient charm. The Hanuman Dhoka Palace and Kumari Ghar stole the show with their intricate designs. The craftsmanship in each structure made me appreciate the skill and artistry of the people from centuries ago. A highlight of my visit was catching a glimpse of the Living Goddess Kumari. Her residence, the Kumari Ghar, is a unique experience where you can witness the connection between the divine and our world .  Basantapur Durbar Square isn't just a historic spot; it's a lively cultural center. During festivals, the square comes alive with street vendors, perf
