Chasing Serenity: A Journey to Tilicho Lake

Hey trekkers! I've got to share the incredible experience I had trekking to Tilicho Lake in the Annapurna region of Nepal. It was more than just a trek; it was a whirlwind of fun, meeting amazing people, and soaking in the stunning landscapes.

So, there I was, starting off from the picturesque village of Manang. The trek promised not just breathtaking views but a chance to meet fellow trekkers from around the world. The excitement was palpable as we set out on a trail that unfolded surprises at every turn.

The trek was no walk in the park – it was a mix of forest trails and rocky paths, but each step took me higher into the heart of the Annapurna range. The air got thinner, and I met folks from all walks of life, each with their own story to share. The challenge was real, but the camaraderie made it a blast.

Reaching the Tilicho Base Camp was a milestone, and the vibe there was just awesome. Surrounded by fellow trekkers, we swapped stories, shared laughs, and marveled at the incredible scenery. The anticipation for Tilicho Lake was building up, and the energy was infectious.

The day arrived to conquer the final stretch. The trail was rocky, and every turn revealed a sneak peek of the turquoise lake in the distance. And when I finally stood at the crest and saw Tilicho Lake in all its glory, it was mind-blowing! The thrill of the journey culminating in such a majestic sight was beyond words.

I spent some quality time by the lake, taking it all in. Met more cool people, shared snacks, and exchanged travel tales. It was a moment of peace and reflection, surrounded by the beauty of the Himalayas. Tilicho Lake wasn't just a destination; it was a playground for making memories.

Heading back was as fun as the trek up. The landscapes continued to impress, and the memories of the adventure stuck with me. The descent was a mix of laughter, swapping contact details, and promising to meet up again in another part of the world.

Trekking to Tilicho Lake was a wild ride. It wasn't just about the heights; it was about the people, the laughter, and the sheer joy of discovering something extraordinary. Tilicho Lake isn't just a spot on the map; it's a canvas for creating your adventure story, filled with challenges, new friends, and moments that take your breath away.

If you're up for an adventure that's as much about the journey as the destination, Tilicho Lake should be on your list.

A visit to the Swoyambhunath Temple

Hey guys! Recently, I had the opportunity to visit the Swoyambhunath Temple, also known as the Monkey Temple, located in the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. I woke up early in the morning around 5 a.m. to visit the temple. It was a bit dark this morning but the morning breeze of fresh air was all I needed. I reached to the foot of the hill where the temple was situated at around 5 45 a.m. . As I climbed the steep stairs that led to the temple, I was surrounded by the sounds of the resident monkeys, who were busy playing and grooming each other. The early morning light was just beginning to filter through the trees, casting a soft glow on the temple and its surroundings. Those long stairs were tiring and felt like never ending. It felt like every step I take was a climb to the Mt. Everest. Haha ! Just kiddeing. It was hard though. Though in every step I only thought of who would even make such insane steps. Finally, when I reached the top of the hill, I was greeted by the stunning sight of t

A visit to Chandragiri Hills

Hey Guys! Today, I'm thrilled to share my recent experience at one of Kathmandu's most renowned tourist destinations – the breathtaking Chandragiri Hills. Nestled amidst the scenic landscapes, this enchanting hill station lies the Bhaleshor Mahadev Temple, accessible through a thrilling cable car ride. To begin your adventure, you can opt for a convenient bus ride from Kalanki to Chandragiri Base Station or hire a cab for a more personalized journey. While the bus drops you directly at the base station, taking a cab allows for a smoother ride, saving you a short walk of approximately 5 minutes to reach the station. Once you arrive, don't forget to grab your ticket for the cable car ride. It's important to note that ticket prices vary for locals, domestic travelers, and tourists, so if you're a local, be sure to carry your citizenship ID. The cable car ride is a spectacular 2.5-kilometer journey, taking around 9 minutes to reach the top station from the ba

A visit to Basantapur Durbar

Hello, friends! I recently had an amazing time exploring Basantapur Durbar Square in Kathmandu, Nepal. This historic square is like a time capsule, filled with stories of royalty, stunning architecture, and vibrant traditions.  Basantapur Durbar Square, or Kathmandu Durbar Square, tells tales of royal events and ceremonies. As I wandered through, the palaces and temples amazed me with their detailed carvings and ancient charm. The Hanuman Dhoka Palace and Kumari Ghar stole the show with their intricate designs. The craftsmanship in each structure made me appreciate the skill and artistry of the people from centuries ago. A highlight of my visit was catching a glimpse of the Living Goddess Kumari. Her residence, the Kumari Ghar, is a unique experience where you can witness the connection between the divine and our world .  Basantapur Durbar Square isn't just a historic spot; it's a lively cultural center. During festivals, the square comes alive with street vendors, perf
